Founded in 1990, MAP Archaeological Consultancy has over 16 years experience in all areas of archaeology. Our expertise ranges from consultancy work to large scale excavations. All work is conducted in line with the Institute of Field Archaeologists code of conduct of which several staff are members.

Although based in the North of England, MAP has undertaken work throughout the country on both urban and rural sites.

With archaeology becoming an ever increasing area developers must now consider in accordance with PPG 16, MAP endeavours to provide the best possible services to its clients, whether this be guidance through the planning process on how best to approach archaeology, excavation or a Public Inquiry.
